This course prepares you for the Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement knowledge test. It is for a driver who will haul liquids or gases in a tank of more than 119 gallons, with 1,000 gallons or more in total. The N endorsement needs a knowledge test only.
The District of Columbia gives the test at its own driver licensing office, and sets its own fees and required documents, so confirm those with the District before you go.

Is there an official test, and how is the mock test scored?
80 percent is the federal pass mark for every CDL knowledge test (49 CFR 383.135). No federal rule sets the question count: 49 CFR 383.133 sends the states to AAMVA's test system, which is not public. The count here is the one used by the states that publish theirs, so your state may differ. 20 questions, 16 correct to pass.
