This course is for workers who handle unpackaged food, utensils, or surfaces that touch food. It teaches practices from a national model. State and local rules control work in each location.

There is no single national food handler exam or national food handler card. Take the training that the authority where you work accepts. This practice course does not issue a card or certificate.

These questions follow the FDA Food Code. State and ANAB-accredited exams test this food-safety material.

Is there an official test, and how is the mock test scored?

No single national food handler exam publishes a question count, section weights, pass mark, or time limit. This practice format and its 80% target are our choice. An approved training program sets its own assessment.
