This course is for anyone who applies for, or holds, a notary public commission in California. The commissioning office is the California Secretary of State.
California requires an exam before a first commission. The California exam is 45 questions in 60 minutes; the state scales the score and passes at 70, so the mock test asks for 70 percent (32 of 45). The state requires an approved course of 6 before you apply.
