About This Test

This course is for workers on building, renovation, roadwork, demolition and other construction sites, where the “Focus Four” hazards — falls, struck-by, caught-in and electrocution — cause most deaths. It follows the OSHA 10-Hour Construction outreach course, and is useful for the 30-Hour course and for supervisors who must know the rules.

OSHA has no national knowledge test. An OSHA 10 or 30 card is issued only by an OSHA-authorized outreach trainer after the full course. OSHA's Outreach Training Program Requirements do not require a test at all, and set no pass mark: a trainer who gives one decides what passes it. The mock test here is a practice format of our own, 20 questions with 14 to pass, and it is not an OSHA exam. This course prepares you for the course and for the job — it does not issue a card.

Take the course from an OSHA-authorized trainer; OSHA's Outreach page explains how to find one and how to spot fake cards.

This course drills 126 questions on the federal OSHA standards. States with their own OSHA-approved plans may add stricter rules.

Questions

Common Questions

Is there an official test, and how is the mock test scored?

OSHA sets no test. Its Outreach rules require no exam and no pass mark, and an OSHA 10 or 30 card comes from an OSHA-authorized trainer, who decides whether to test at all. The check here is ours: 20 questions, 14 correct: practice target.

How are the questions checked?

Every question is checked before it goes live, and again each time the site is updated.

How do I get an OSHA 10 or 30 card?

Take the course from an OSHA-authorized trainer; OSHA's Outreach page explains how to find one and how to spot fake cards.

Is this course free?

Part of every course is free: a slice of every topic and one short practice test a day. Full access is $10 a month for one course, or $20 a month for every course on the site.

Practice readiness estimate. OSHA sets no national exam or pass mark for these courses. Our practice test has 20 questions and a target of 14 correct. An Outreach card requires the full authorized class and its contact hours. The card is not a certification or license. This study course does not issue an Outreach card. The estimate uses uncalibrated course questions without official domain weights. It cannot predict an official result or convert to an official score. A practice certificate records study only.
