This course is for anyone preparing for a lay-rescuer CPR, AED and first aid class, such as parents, coaches, teachers, workplace first-aid responders and volunteers. It covers scene safety and calling 911, adult CPR, CPR and choking care for children and infants, using an AED, choking, and first aid for bleeding, shock, burns, fractures, heat and cold illness, stroke, heart attack, seizures, overdose, and bites and stings.
You get a CPR, AED or first aid certification by passing a hands-on course taught by a certifying organization, where an instructor checks your skills on a manikin. This course is study support only. It does not teach the physical skills, it does not certify you, and it may not match every detail of a certifying organization’s course or test.

Is there an official test, and how is the mock test scored?
No government or certifying body publishes a test for this course, so the mock test here is ours: 25 questions, 20 to pass (80 percent). 25 questions, 20 correct to pass.
How are the questions checked?
Every question is checked before it goes live, and again each time the site is updated.
Does this course certify me?
You get a CPR, AED or first aid certification by passing a hands-on course taught by a certifying organization, where an instructor checks your skills on a manikin. This course is study support only. Is this course free?
Part of every course is free: a slice of every topic and one short practice test a day. Full access is $10 a month for one course, or $20 a month for every course on the site.
